Our Funeral At Sea Program
This is not a gimmick, we really can help you plan a funeral at sea for your loved one. We are not providing any land based funeral services, our services are strictly for facilitating the funeral and burial of ashes at sea. Note, only ashes can be buried at sea. The ashes are buried at sea using a biodegradable urn specifically for burial at sea. Spreading of ashes other ways is not possible due to wind currents that could inadvertently send the ashes back onto the ship which would not be what is intended.
We are here to facilitate the taking of ashes from a on shore funeral home or post services and facilitating a burial at sea. The typical situation includes a funeral at sea involving family of the deceased and even their friends. What we do is help carry out the final wishes for the final resting place.
Why Burial at Sea?
Many love the sea, spend time there relaxing or ever work at sea. For those with such a strong love for the sea, it's possible they will want for their eternal resting place to be the sea. It is not for everyone, but for those who really love the sea and wish to be cremated, spreading their ashes at sea is one way to allow them to be someplace they really loved being while alive.
Everyone will have different views and reasons about where they want their final resting place to be. Of course the first component of the decision to rest at sea is to have a willingness to be cremated after death. It is the first step in preparing to be buried at sea.
Who may be buried at sea?
Generally speaking there are few restrictions on who may be buried at sea. As long as the ashes can be released to loved ones they can be buried at sea. Of course, checking the particulars for each specific situation is the best bet and we work to make that process smooth. Ashes must be documented and deemed legal and safe for transport and burial at sea.
